Slow-Cooker Recipes for Cool Fall Nights
Burgundy-Style Pot Roast
Here's one sure sign that colder weather's on the way: slow cooker recipes are popping up everywhere. The five below are at the top of their class, with rich, layered flavors that belie their ease to prepare. It's time to go slow.

POT ROAST
Prepare Burgundy-Style Pot Roast the night before, then let it cook while you're at work. You'll return home to meltingly tender meat that only needs a scoop of mashed potatoes to soak up the gravy.

POTATOES
With Gouda, cheddar and Parmesan on the bill, there's enough cheese to please in these Slow Cooked Au Gratin Potatoes.

CHICKEN
Six hours nestled in a sweet-and-spicy sauce turns the chicken pieces in Maple BBQ Pulled Chicken into a fall-off-the-bone filling for sandwiches.

ENCHILADAS
Say olé to comfort food with Slow-Cooker Black Bean Enchiladas, tortillas stuffed with a mix of black beans, corn and peppers, placed between layers of salsa and covered with cheese.

PUDDING CAKE
Your slow cooker's not just for dinner. Use it to make the irresistible Hot Fudge Peanut Butter Pudding Cake, a decadent mess of a dessert just made for pairing with ice cream.
